Gentle Reminder
Let the day be the day, the evening be the evening, and the night be the night. Spend some time getting clear on what you want that to mean for you. If we don't have that clarity, it's easy to work late, over-schedule yourself, and not prioritize sleep.
Here are some questions that might be helpful to explore:
1) When do I want to end work and how can I leave work at work?
2) Do I need my evenings to be restful and what might I need to say no to in order to make that happen?
3) What time do I want to go sleep and once that's decided, what time do I need to start my bedtime routine?
4) What boundaries do I want to put in place to make these things happen?
5) What gets in the way of holding these boundaries?
Giving these rhythms a little thought can make a big difference in your overall well-being, the amount of stress that is carried from one day to the next, and our sense of ownership with our time and energy.
